DRIVE-THRU CHRISTMAS DISPLAY AT ALOHA STADIUM

Aloha!
My name is Rie from the Digital Solution Division.
One of the many things people in America look forward to is the Christmas illuminations. People decorate their houses with various Christmas touches and shopping malls and public facilities put together large-scale decorations to boost the holiday spirit.

However, due to the spread of the COVID-19, many places have been in lockdown this year and a social spacing Christmas event such as Christmas illumination drive-thru is gaining popularity in the United States.

A Drive-Thru Christmas is a chance for people to enjoy a holiday outing and people in Hawaii, including myself, were able to experience this wonderful form of entertainment at the Aloha Stadium this year. The drive-thru is a seven mile, one million dazzling LED lights choreographed to holiday music.

At the end of the drive-thru is a monstrous 50-foot LED Christmas tree where attendees can park their cars and take photos with social distance.

This Christmas drive-thru is by reservation only and participants must arrive on their designated time. Due to Show Aloha Land’s popularity, the organizer has decided to extend the show through Jan. 9, 2021. All proceeds will be provide for the Show Aloha Challenge (SAC) Foundation, a nonprofit organization that delivered 200,000 hot meals to the homes of kupuna statewide and distributed more than two million pounds of food to families in need this year in response to the pandemic.
This event took place due to COVID-19 counter measures but I have a feeling that this might become a new annual Christmas tradition, like the Honolulu City Lights.
