ASOBISYSTEM CO., LTD and JTB Hawaii Travel, LLC are pleased to announce the launch of a specially wrapped vehicle, “ASOBIEXPRESS”, on the popular sightseeing trolley bus service HiBus, serving Waikiki and surrounding areas.
The ASOBIEXPRESS is a uniquely designed bus wrap created as a symbol of connection between Hawaii and Japan through J-POP culture. The wrap design was developed by ASOBISYSTEM, a creative production company that promotes MADE IN JAPAN content to the world.
Operated by JTB Hawaii Travel, HiBus runs five routes centered around Waikiki, covering popular destinations such as Kahala, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Ala Moana, Kakaako, and Downtown. All routes are available with unlimited boarding, providing convenient transportation for sightseeing, shopping, dining, and more across Oahu. The specially wrapped HiBus ASOBIEXPRESS is scheduled to operate from March 12, 2026 through late December 2026 (TBD), offering both visitors and local residents a vibrant new experience on Oahu.

Additionally, the ASOBIEXPO HAWAII Organizing Committee, comprised of JTB Hawaii Travel and ASOBISYSTEM, will present the music and culture event ASOBIEXPO HAWAII 2026 on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Confirmed performers for the event include internationally recognized artists Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, the globally touring performance unit ATARASHII GAKKO!, and the “NEW KAWAII” embodied FRUITS ZIPPER. The specially wrapped HiBus ASOBIEXPRESS will also be exhibited at the event to further enhance the experience.
