The JTB Goodwill Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the exchange of cultural values and strengthening relationships between Hawaii, Japan, and other countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Over the years, the Foundation has supported educational and cultural exchange opportunities, as well as community initiatives throughout Hawaii. In 2018, the Foundation established a $35,000 endowed scholarship at the University of Hawaii for students pursuing degrees in tourism and hospitality. In 2019, it provided Hawaii Pacific University with a $30,000 contribution toward an endowed scholarship, followed by a $40,000 donation in 2021 to establish the KCC Culinary Scholarship Fund.

From 2022 through 2025, the Foundation continued to support Hawaii’s students and communities through cultural exchange programs connecting Japan and Hawaii at Momilani Elementary School, Kalihi Uka Elementary School, and Ke’elikolani Middle School. The Foundation also supported the Public Schools of Hawaii Foundation in providing assistance to Maui schools affected by the devastating wildfires in 2023.

In 2026, the JTB Goodwill Foundation continued its commitment to the Hawaii community by donating $20,000 to the Hawaii State Department of Education to support students, families, and schools affected by the Kona Low storm in March 2026 and Hurricane Lala in August 2026. This contribution reflects the Foundation’s longstanding commitment to giving back to Hawaii and strengthening the communities it serves, particularly during times of need.
