Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

SDGs(Sustinable Development Goals)

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set up in September 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. The JTB Hawaii Group is making company-wide efforts to contribute to the realization of this Possible Development Goals.

Contribution to Global Environmental Conservation

  • Induction of Electric Buses
We are accelerating our efforts to deoxidize our bus emission by introducing fully electric buses and contribute to the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI) to achieve the nation’s first-ever 100 percent Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) by the year 2045.
  • JTB Brighter Earth Project
JTB Brighter Earth Project is an annual project that brings JTB employees together with activities that contribute to environmental conservation and support our local communities. Over the years, we have participated with beach and sidewalk clean ups, restoration efforts of a National Monument, and clearing the beaches of invasive algae species.
  • Koa Tree Plant Project
Koa wood is unique to Hawaii with an honored heritage and is highly valued for its rich and beautiful pattern, as well as its strength. The JTB Hawaii Group has been promoting tree planting to protect the Koa tree and strive to increase the number of collaborators by actively promoting the reduction of carbon and making efforts to contribute to environmental conservation.
