  • Description

    Meets tour arrivals and departures at airport and assists customers with claims against airlines for damaged, delayed, and missing bags; also documents all such cases; accompanies customers to and from their dispatched vehicles. For LOOK arrival tours, briefs customers about contents of Oli Oli kits and itineraries. For GROUP and FIT arrival tours, provides briefing of Kona-stay itinerary. Assists customers with problems, questions, and forgotten items. Assists customers by inspecting their inter island departure tickets for accuracy. Conducts briefings of Rental Car Plan customers on car pickup and return procedures. Records and communicates all changes in customer count, baggage count, flight delays, flight cancellations, deviations, vehicle changes, missing customers and emergencies. Sells optional tours/souvenirs, collects payments, inputs into computer, books sales to Kona optional tour vendors, obtains confirmation; balances sales with receipts; verifies optional tours/souvenirs report. Prints arrival/departure reports and itineraries from in-house system for next arrival day. Lists Group and FIT arrivals for next day.  Books arrivals and departures for all tour types with transportation companies. Reconfirms functions that appear on itinerary with vendors. Prepares for next day arrivals with meal coupons, tour itineraries, hotel and JTB services information, and optional tour. Completes and delivers faxes, emails/baggage pulls for unescorted customers to hotels. Assists special groups with hotel check-in. Assists with medical emergencies; including accompanying ill or injured customers to hospital or clinic emergency facility, caring for families of hospitalized or deceased customers, and adjusting tour itineraries as necessitated by emergency; mediates insurance and payment communication among customer, hospital, and insurance provider. BILINGUAL DRIVER (JAPANESE/ENGLISH)

  • Description

    Provide transportation for shuttle transfers and charter excursions such as golf tours and optional tours for customers. Perform scheduled transfers, arrivals, and departures at designated pickup locations including hotels and tour related properties. Adhere to Hawaii traffic regulations including traffic lights and signs and comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Ensure the safety of the passengers and pedestrians to minimize the risk of traffic accidents. Interact with customers to convey the most updated information and regularly communicate with tour conductors, tour coordinators, and/ or tour guides to provide comfortable transportation services. Keep up with movement schedules while following tour itinerary to maximize customer satisfaction with our tour services. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle. Load/unload baggage and luggage, which may include golf equipment, water sports equipment, and other items. Report delays, accidents, or incidents by radio or cellular phone to the dispatch department, using standard radio codes and procedures. Conduct vehicle inspections and make operational checks before/after the trip. Report any mechanical problems to Vehicle Safety Specialist in writing on the Driver’s Inspection Report for proper vehicle maintenance.

    Must be able to speak, read, and write in Japanese and English.
    Must have a valid Hawaii driver license, a clean driving history, and pass the company's physical exam.
    Must be able to speak effectively and clearly in an audible voice.

FLEET MAINTENANCE MANAGER

    Under general supervision of the Travel Plaza Director of Operations, manages the maintenance operations and general conditions of the mechanical and body and fender repair of all types of gasoline and diesel driven automotive equipment. Ensures the effective and efficient quality of maintenance operations.

    Requirements

    Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
    1. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in automotive/equipment mechanic trade or;
    2. Two years experience as a lead automotive technician first class mechanic; or
    3. Have four years in lower classification or equivalent experience; and
    4. Have previous management experience.
    5. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) training and certification required.

    Licenses:
    1. Possession of a valid Hawaii State Drivers License with clean drivers abstract. Must be able to pass State of Hawaii D.O.T. driving requirements for a class B, passenger endorsement, commercial driver’s license.

    * Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with an accounting or finance concentration from an accredited college or university.
    * Experience in public accounting desirable.
