JTB coordinates hotel stays, sightseeing, optional tours like snorkeling, dolphin and whale watching, neighbor island visits, dinner cruises, banquets and events, and complete wedding arrangements. MAUI OPERATIONS MANAGER

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: Directs and coordinates activities of Travel Plaza Transportation, (TPT), on the island of Maui. Oversees all daily operations on the island of Maui by performing the following duties personally, or through subordinate managers. PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Oversees and directly manages the Guide and Driver departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. 2. Participates in the direct management of all Maui personnel. Provides information to assist in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives for Maui. 3. Directs and coordinates activities of department for further attainment of goals and to improve operation efficiency and economy. 4. Reviews analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine division progress towards stated goals and objectives. Communicates these goals to managers and employees. 5. Directs and coordinates services performed to assist in development of new markets, increase share of market, and obtain a competitive position in Hawaii. 6. Confers with upper levels of managements and other manager to review achievements and discuss required changes in operations resulting from current status and conditions. 7. Analyzes Maui budget to identify areas to optimize limited resources, and allocates operation budget. 8. Directs preparation of directives outlining policy, program, or operation changes to be implemented. 9. Promotes Travel Plaza Transportation, and is it’s representative on Maui. 10. Serves as a member of management committees and consults with other JTB transportation companies worldwide to promote efficiency and economy. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Delegated responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 2. Performs other duties as required. WORKING CONDITIONS: Air-conditioned office. Travels to outside locations in variable weather conditions to make sales calls. Work Hours: Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, five days a week, Sunday – Saturday, or as needed. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Possess a current CDL B with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements and clean driving abstract to drive either company car or own car for transportation. Must obtain current CDL medical examination.

Education/Experience: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.
1. Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year college or university; or over 10 years related experience, education, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is a salaried position requiring the person to work irregular hours; including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.

BILINGUAL (JAPANESE/ENGLISH) CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

Under general supervision the Customer Service Rep (CSR) assists customers using the Oli Oli Walker, buses, trolleys, and other modes of transportation at various locations. Monitors the traffic flow and adjusts the timing between Walkers by communicating with drivers and TPT dispatch.

PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide excellent customer service and a stress free experience for all of our valued customers, and follow company guidelines with regards to passenger safety.
2. Assist customers using the Oli Oli Walker and other modes of transportation at various locations by answering schedule related questions, and other general customer service questions (i.e. giving directions to various landmarks/properties in and around the Walker routes.)
3. Closely monitors the timing of the Walkers according to the published schedule and makes necessary adjustments to the timing by communicating with drivers and dispatch
4. Assists in the loading and unloading of passengers at the various stops.
5. When needed remind passengers of the safety and operational rules of riding the Oli Oli Walker and all other modes of transportation.

Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
